1. What Prybar Does
Prybar provides an AI-powered SMS assistant for service businesses. When your customers text your Prybar number, our AI responds on behalf of your business — answering questions, capturing leads, and booking appointments.
You maintain full control. You can override the AI, respond manually, and customize how it represents your business.
2. Your Account
- You must provide accurate business information during signup
- You're responsible for your account credentials
- One business per account (contact us for multiple locations)
- You must be 18 or older and authorized to act on behalf of the business
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Prybar only for legitimate business communication. You will not:
- Send spam or unsolicited messages
- Use Prybar for any illegal activity
- Misrepresent your business or services
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or billing
- Share your account with unauthorized users
- Use the service in a way that could harm Prybar or other users
You are responsible for complying with all applicable SMS regulations including TCPA, 10DLC requirements, and carrier policies.
4. SMS Messaging Program
Program Name: Prybar AI Business Assistant
Program Description: Prybar enables home service businesses to communicate with their customers via SMS. When a customer texts a Prybar-powered business number, our AI assistant responds with service information, appointment scheduling, estimates, appointment reminders, and follow-up messages related to the customer's inquiry.
Message Frequency
Message frequency may vary. Frequency depends on customer interaction with a Prybar-powered business. Customers who initiate a text conversation may receive multiple messages within a single conversation. Follow-up messages related to appointments, estimates, invoices, or service updates are limited to a maximum of 3 messages per week per customer.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Standard messaging rates from your wireless carrier apply to all SMS messages sent and received. Prybar does not charge customers for receiving messages — any charges come from your mobile carrier.
Opt-In and Consent
Customers consent to receive messages by:
- Initiating a text message to a Prybar-powered business phone number
- Submitting their phone number through a business's website contact form, quote request form, booking form, or other service inquiry form
- Calling the business and requesting a text follow-up regarding their inquiry or appointment
Consent is not required as a condition of purchase. Consent can be revoked at any time.
Opt-Out Instructions
To stop receiving messages at any time, reply STOP to any message. You will receive a confirmation message and no further messages will be sent. To resume messages, reply START.

Supported Carriers
Major US carriers are supported including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
5. Billing & Payments
- Subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe
- Prices are as listed on our pricing page at time of signup
- You can cancel anytime — your service continues until the end of the billing period
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of charge
- If payment fails, we'll try again and notify you. After 3 failures, your AI assistant may be paused
- Founding Member / beta pricing is locked in for as long as your subscription remains active
6. AI Responses
Prybar uses AI (powered by OpenAI) to generate responses to your customers. Important things to understand:
- AI responses are generated based on the information you provide about your business
- The AI may occasionally generate inaccurate or unexpected responses
- You are ultimately responsible for the communications sent to your customers
- You should regularly review conversations in your dashboard
- Emergency situations are flagged and escalated to you directly
We continuously improve our AI, but we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. We strongly recommend reviewing conversations regularly, especially in the early days.
7. Your Data
- Your business data and customer conversations belong to you
- You can export your data at any time
- If you cancel, we'll retain your data for 30 days, then delete it

8. Service Availability
We aim for 99.9% uptime but can't guarantee it. Things that might cause downtime:
- Planned maintenance (we'll try to notify you in advance)
- Third-party service outages (Twilio, OpenAI, etc.)
- Unexpected technical issues
During any downtime, incoming messages are queued and processed when service resumes.
9. Limitation of Liability
Prybar is provided “as is.” We are not liable for:
- Lost revenue due to AI response errors
- Missed messages due to carrier or service issues
- Customer disputes arising from AI-generated responses
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
Our total liability is limited to the amount you've paid us in the last 12 months.
10. Termination
Either party can terminate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your AI assistant stops responding and your data is retained for 30 days.
11. Changes
We may update these terms. We'll notify you of significant changes via email at least 30 days before they take effect.
